Our client, an early stage AI Startup, are hiring a Product Operations Engineer to join their team in New York. The successful candidate will sit between users and builders, owning the systems, rituals and information flow that keep the team aligned and focused on the highest-impact work.
Responsibilities
Own and maintain the live product roadmap so it is always accurate, visible and actively used across teams.
Run sprint planning and project kick-offs with Product, Engineering and Design teams.
Ensure clear prioritisation, ownership, timelines and dependencies across all active work.
Facilitate key rituals (planning, retros, kick-offs) with strong decision clarity and follow-through.
Own release management end-to-end: staging to production, QA coordination, release notes and launch readiness.
Act as the coordination point between product, engineering and growth/marketing for upcoming releases.
Translate user feedback, bug reports and support signals into structured, actionable engineering work.
Ship small fixes and improvements directly where faster than engineering routing allows.
Oversee and coordinate a Zendesk-based support team, ensuring quality, priorities and efficient resolution flows.
Maintain clear, reliable operational documentation across Notion, Slack and Linear, including decision logs and product knowledge bases.
Skillset
At least 2 years of experience in full-stack engineering and maintaining production software end-to-end.
Strong understanding of how modern software products are built, shipped and maintained within cross-functional teams.
Experience with sprint planning, release processes, QA workflows and product operations tools such as Linear and Notion.
Ability to translate unstructured inputs (user feedback, bugs, requests) into clear, actionable work.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity while driving clarity, decisions and execution.
High attention to detail and a user-centric mindset with a genuine focus on product quality and solving user problems.
Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate execution and ship improvements faster.
Benefits
